A Quote Insurance - Terms of Business

As an Independent Intermediary our service includes advising you on your insurance needs; arranging your insurance cover with insurers to meet your requirements; and helping you with any ongoing changes you have to make. As a member of the Financial Services Authority we are obliged under the FSA code of conduct to advise you of the basis on which we transact business.

Please note that we do make charge of £10.00 for the arranging of Insurance policies, if you wish to know what we earn as commission we will only be too pleased to advise you. Any premiums quoted to you are the total cost that you will pay for your insurance excluding any interest that may be due (dependent on your payment method). All payments that you make are split proportionally between our earnings and the Insurers net premium requirement for the policy.

All quotations are guaranteed on the information provided it is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to insurers when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the life of your policy and when you renew your insurance. It is important that you ensure that all statements you make on proposal forms, claim forms and other documents are full and accurate. Please note that if you fail to disclose any material information to you insurers, this could invalidate your insurance cover and could mean that part or all of a claim may not be paid.

In addition to the premiums charged or returned by insurers we do charge up to 15% of premium plus £20 for any additional or return premium. Your schedule for the adjustment will show the net due to the Insurance Company. You will be advised of any charges in advance when obtaining any quotation. Should you cancel your policy during its currency the return premium will be the net return given by your Insurer less our charge of 15%.

In the event that you wish to cancel your policy due to you being unhappy with any terms or conditions of your policy, you will only be charged for the days you have had cover based on the premium quoted the minimum charge will be £25.00. To qualify all Insurance documentation must be returned to us within the 10 days of the inception . We would point out that if you cancel your policy after this time Insurers may charge a short period premium which can be the number of months you have been cover plus an additional three months premium.

If you have elected to pay on long term credit any credits that are issued by Insurers will be used to reduce the outstanding balance of the agreement, in the event of policy being cancelled this may mean that you do have further instalments that will be collected under the credit agreement that you have entered into, until the balance is cleared. Your cancellation of the credit agreement will be an instruction from you to cancel your policy unless the full balance of the agreement is paid.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you need to make a claim or are involved in an incident that may result in you being claimed against it is your duty to advise us or your Insurers without delay and forward any correspondence you may receive immediately, failure to do so may prejudice the Insurers position and they may look to you for recompence.

It is our intention to provide you with the highest level of customer service at all times. In the unlikely event that you feel we have not met these standards please contact Mrs J Basham, either verbally or in writing, who will take details of your concerns. We will acknowledge in writing within five working days who will be dealing with your concerns and if they are able to address them at that time. Should our investigations take longer we will provide a full response within twenty days or provide you with timescales for our full response. As member of the FSA if you are unhappy with our response you will that have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service, South Quay Plaza 2, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR

Additional Information

If you elect to pay by instalments the interest charge is eight percent (for the deposit plus three instalments scheme) and twelve percent (for the ten month instalment scheme). All costs are included in the quoted payment for each payment method.
